JEAN
GRANT SUTTON, Bodyworks Director, is a certified Integrative
Yoga Instructor and Massage Therapist and has practiced yoga for over
20 years. Jean has an extensive background in various bodyworks modalities.
She founded BodyWorks Yoga in Petaluma in 1994 and offers classes, workshops
and private yoga therapy sessions locally and throughout California.

ANNE O'BRIEN is a dedicated teacher and practitioner of yoga. She teaches multi-level classes, workshops, private lessons and trains teachers in Sonoma and Marin counties. She believes in the health and well-being benefits derived from yoga and endeavors to present yoga in a manner accessible to diverse groups of people. Her classes offer attention to alignment and form while finding individual creative expression in the practice. She periodically brings groups on international travel adventures, blending cultural experiences with the practice of yoga. BAXTER BELL, MD, RYT500, teaches yoga classes at the Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland, as well as public classes, workshops and retreats throughout the US. Baxter is honored to be on the faculty for the Bodyworks Teacher Training program. In addition to his yoga teaching, Baxter sees patients as a medical acupuncturist and holistic practitioner at Hill Park Medical Center in Petaluma. CARMELA CARLYLE is the founder of the first Laughter Yoga Club in Sonoma County and has integrated Hasya (Laughter) Yoga into all aspects of her full-time counseling, consulting and yoga teaching practice. Her innovative yoga classes and workshops offer the prana of laughter creatively integrated with hatha yoga sequences selected for the session's theme, knowledge gleaned from twenty years of leading professional workshops, deeply restorative crystal bowl sound healings for satisfying savasanas and optional aromatherapy mistings! DEBORAH REID is a certified Dru Yoga and Yoga Alliance teacher and health educator. Class strategy is safe for all ages, body types and fitness levels. Classes are light hearted and well-rounded integrating all aspects of yoga while offering beneficial information about the workings of the body. Though dabbling with yoga since the 70’s, Deb began studying Iyengar seriously 14 years ago. Over the last 8 years while living and working as a Massage Therapist in Australia, she gained her teaching certification in Dru, graduating to teach public classes and honored to be supporting and teaching on the Dru Teacher Training Modules. DONEEN BARONE is an integrative yoga teacher whose practice draws on a study of several yoga traditions, including Hatha, Kundalini and Yin Yoga. Her practice continues to be enriched and deepened by streams of influence including her early training in classical ballet and Karate, inquiring into different spiritual traditions and her family life which includes all the challenges of raising tweenagers. Doneen has spent over 20 years in Corporate America in business development and marketing which has influenced her style of teaching today. With a focus on creating a safe and nurturing space to explore asana, breathe work and guided meditation to relieve stress and anxiety.

GAIL O’DEA has been a part BodyWorks community since its inception, originally as a massage therapist and yoga practioner. And, most recently, as a student in the BodyWorks Yoga Teacher Training program. Gail has been touched by both the steadfast approach of Hatha Yoga approach that encourages self-awareness through the lens of compassion and balance, as well as the "spicier" approach of the Kundalini practice which serves as a catalyst to personal growth through the practice of breathwork, chanting and intense, directed kriya work.

GAILA NEWBURG’s education has been both traditional and experiential. Of note is her background as a teaching nurse and actor, with a long involvement with women’s groups. Expressive movement is her passion, as is finding opportunities to be of assistance to others. She is presently in "Circlework" training with Jalaja Bonheim.

J.T. BYMASTER is a local bodyworker, somatic counselor, and martial arts instructor. He has been studying martial arts and bodywork for over a decade and enjoys helping people feel more comfortable and alive in their bodies.

JENNIFER BURNER has a dance background dating back to 1997 from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA. She danced, performed and choreographed for 4 years.
Through choreography and performing, she learned to reach the dancers and the audience. She was inspired to catalyze the the dancer in each person who always wants to dance and move authentically.
The desire to take movement and dance to a deeper level just kept growing, until finally she discovered "Sweat Your Prayers", a book by Gabrielle Roth, the creator of The 5Rhythms. She have been studying the 5Rhythms ever since...
In 2008 she became a certified teacher of this amazing body of work,.

MARGOT SCHAAL is a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®, , has a Bachelor in Fine Arts, is a Reiki Master, and a Qigong teacher. She studied with students of Dr. Feldenkrais throughout her four years of training. Margot has practiced Feldenkrais® in the US and Rwanda, teaching children, adults, elders, athletes, musicians, artists, office workers and trades people, as well as the physically and mentally disabled. Her clients have learned to retrain their movements to address stroke, accidents, chronic pain, and to increase flexibility, balance and physical performance. Margot offers weekly classes, workshops and private instruction tailored to the individual at her offices in Petaluma and Fairfax. MARJORIE RICHARDSON is a certified Integrative Yoga Instructor & Massage Therapist who has been teaching yoga in Petaluma since 1997. Her gentle style supports the process of letting go of tensions, worries and habits by using breath and movement synchronized together.


NICHOLAS EVERTZ (Shrimata Sharan) has taught Yoga in North America, Central America, and South East Asia. He is grateful to be a disciple of his Guruji, Pujya Pad Shri Shriyogeshvara. He has also studied Yogic philosophy and participated in teacher trainings with Shri Bhutnath Shambhunath, Acharya Dharmanidi Sarasvati, Don and Amba Stapleton, and Shiva Rea. In addition he has studied Ayurveda with the California College of Ayurveda and studied Traditional Thai Massage in Thailand.
His teaching focuses on bringing together the three centers of the self- body, energy and mind. Shrimata Sharan shares a strong class that links breath with posture and awareness. Each class is a playful mixture of movement, breath, awareness and fun intended to awaken the joy of being who we are. NICOLE MARTINOVICH comes to Bodyworks with over 10 years experience teaching group exercise and physical education. She has a BA in Physical Education and an MS in Traditional Chinese Medicine. About 2 years ago, she started her yoga journey taking yoga classes at health clubs. She found them deeply calming and restorative as well as strengthening and enlivening. Since then, she has completed several teacher trainings in yoga, including Fundamentals and Vinyasa. She is a certified Mat Pilates Instructor and has completed a beginning Apparatus teacher training program. Pilates leaves her feeling tall and strong! Both disciplines have enriched her life and well-being, She is currently in the 2010 Integrative Yoga Teacher Training Program at Bodyworks. She wants to share these good things with you!

NICOLE WARD is certified and registered with Yoga Alliance to teach both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. She has been teaching since 2001 and thrives as Co-Director, Editor/Producer, and Teacher for yoga studios throughout the Bay Area. As a graduate of the University of Arizona, Nicole is a lifelong student of Culture & Geography as well as a dedicated teacher of Yoga and the practice of Self Worth. www.yogawithnicole.org

SHARON MASER DANACEAU is the founder and director of the Women’s School of Healing Arts & Sciences, a non-profit for spiritual women. She has studied widely from a potpourri of spiritual and transformational work for the last 35 years, and conducted varied workshops and events relating to these topics, including Women’s Heart Circles, the Transformation Clinic and Mother-Daughter Relationships. She is an elder and brings much wisdom and insight to activities she leads. Deeping and enriching women’s lives and strengthening the women’s community are the major purposes of her life. She is presently completing a Master’s in Women’s Spirituality at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.

SIENA MCCARTHY is a GYROTONIC ® and GYROKINESIS ® instructor certified by the Gyrotonic founder, Juliu Horvath. Siena has been a dancer, performing locally and participating actively in the Bay Area arts and dance community. She is a mother, photographer, business owner, sports enthusiast and passionate healer, working with clients for many years. She is also certified in Pilates Mat by Monica Anderson, Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular Integrative Action (NIA), Integrated Awareness ® and CranioSacral Therapy. She has practiced yoga and Pilates for over 20 years. She continues her education in Pilates, GYROTONIC ® and GYROKINESIS®, yoga and African dance. Whether you are recovering from injury or improving existing skills, Siena's goal is to create a safe place for new learning to occur so you can reach your goals.

TRICE
BONNEY has been a student of yoga since the mid-70’s and teaching since 2000. She is certified through White Lotus teacher training program and Joseph’s LePage Integrative Yoga Therapy. Her 30 year plus back ground in structural realignment bodywork gives her teaching a creative and explorative style. Her hands on approach provides personal attention. She has taught mediation, visualization, has a private Shamanic and bodywork practice.

VAIRAGYA EIGER began her study of yoga in 1970 at the age of 4 years. She eventually found her way to India in 1979 and spent almost 5 years living in an ashram and studying yoga. She finds a deep well of gratitude and connection to all things through this practice. Vairagya is currently studying in the Advanced Teacher Training program at the Iyengar Institute in SF. In addition to teaching yoga, she has been a personal trainer in Pilates and the Gyrotonic systems for the past 9 years and brings this knowledge to her yoga practice and teaching. How we live in our bodies, our habits and holding patterns are a source of deep investigation and learning. ZUZA ENGLER, an authorized teacher of Soul Motion™, has been on the spiral path of kinesthetic investigation into consciousness for over two decades, in motion, stillness and process inquiry. She is a long-term student and practitioner of Buddhism, Soul Motion™, and Gestalt Awareness Practice.
