Class Descriptions:

Belly Dance: This class will guide you through the basic technique of belly dance. Starting with slow stretches and sinuous movement, moving to muscle isolation exercises, (toning your hips, buttocks, thighs, and abdominal) and escalating into traveling steps and hip work, these moves interweave belly dance basics in a way that both advanced students and beginners will enjoy.

Explorative Yoga: Suitable for those students wanting to delve into poses in a deeper and stronger way.

Gentle Yoga: Suitable for anyone new to yoga or anyone with limitations and/or chronic stress.

Dru Yoga: Dru Yoga is a graceful and potent form of yoga, based on soft flowing movements, directed breathing and visualization. Designed to be practiced by people of all ages, fitness levels and body shapes, it is a style of yoga that can be dipped into or learned in more depth over a lifetime. With it's foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition, it works on body, mind and spirit - improving strength and flexibility, creating core stability, building a heightened feeling of positivity and rejuvenating your whole being.

Iyengar-Inspired Community Class: In these tough economic times, what we all need is a little stress relief, right? Let this be your opportunity to give back to and nurture yourself. Whether you are new to yoga or a veteran yogi, this is an opportunity for you to deepen your understanding of alignment and ease in the yoga postures. For those who already practice in the Iyengar tradition regularly, this is a way for you continue to refine what you’ve learned in class and to keep that rhythm going in your practice at home. Each week we will explore a new series of postures and see how each of the postures relates to the others. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!

Iyengar Inspired Yoga: Hatha Yoga based on B.K.S Iyengar's method of teaching. Much attention is given to proper alignment, breathing and relaxation.  Props will be used to deepen awareness in the poses.

Lunchtime Yoga: An introduction to the many benefits of yoga in a small class setting. Integrating inspiration from Kundalini and Yin yoga, we will learn breathing, stretching and meditation techniques to calm your busy mind, relax your stressed body and renew your spirit. Yoga really works. Even more than you do!

Mixed Level Yoga: Suitable for beginners and intermediates. Different variations and progression of poses are offered.

Tai Chi/Chi Gung: Ancient energy practices that help develop internal strength fluidity and ease in the body and mind. The Wu Style Tai Chi short form will be taught and the basics of standing and moving Chi Gung. This is a great class for those new to Tai Chi and Chi Gung who would like to learn in a fun and relaxed environment.

TGIF Yoga: Thank Goddess it's Friday! Come and unwind, rejuvenate and renew. All levels welcome.

Vinyasa Blend Yoga: A mixed level class that incorporates breath with movement, alignment awareness, a blend of yoga styles and an interweaving of ayurvedic wisdom into the practice.

Yoga for Beginners: Great for first-timers or continuing beginners to learn principles of alignment, breathing and basic yoga philosophy. Explore the benefits of a yoga practice in your life.
